As a Senior Communications Specialist for Employee Services, you will partner with stakeholders to consult, edit, and write communications related to process and policy changes supporting key employee lifecycle touchpoints (from onboarding to transfers to exits). The audience will be subsets of the employee base or Amazon’s HR community. Broad-reaching high-visibility efforts may require collaboration with communications teams across Amazon. The Senior Communications Specialist will consult via team office hours and coach members in our community of practice. Interested candidates must have the ability to dive deep to understand our HR shared services organization, key sub-populations within it, and their corresponding pain points when it comes to writing. As Senior Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for: · Flexing your excellent writing and editing skills for change-focused projects · Managing and influencing stakeholders to deliver results · Working independently, and
· A BA in communications · 3-5+ years of communications experience, with an focus on change communications · Familiarity with change artifacts including stakeholder assessments and change impact analyses · Strong writer and editor · Passion for diving deep into our organization as an audience · An insatiable willingness to learn · A high degree of comfort with SharePoint · Writing samples are required · Journalism experience · Proven ability to work with partners across geographies · Experience with technologies to support both communications (html, wiki, etc.) Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative
