Alexa is the name of the Amazon cloud-based voice service that powers Echo devices, the pioneering Amazon AI designed around your voice. Our vision is to build a computer in the cloud that is completely controlled by your voice. That vision can only be achieved if we are able to maintain an excellent customer experience guided by well-structured data and high-quality business analysis. The Alexa Speech team is seeking a Business Analyst to support our vision. This person will help define key metrics to measure the impact of the Alexa Speech Recognition (ASR) initiatives and develop weekly/monthly business level reporting. The business analyst will also lead ad-hoc analyses to identify areas for experimentation, evaluate the efficacy of current programs and inform targeted action plans both at regional and global level. The ideal candidate will be excited about using data to understand business performance, develop insights based on their work and summarize findings for management consumption
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Supply Chain or related field · 6+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role · Experience with SQL, data warehousing, statistical analysis tools, MS Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau or QuickSight; experience extracting and processing data using SQL and Excel· Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA) · 8+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role · Understanding of data modeling · Strong background
