Amazon.com's US Books team is seeking a bright, articulate, detail-oriented Program Manager to join our Books Supply Chain Operations team. In this role, you will be the driving force that collaborates with retail and business partner teams around the globe to manage and develop operational defect improvement programs across Amazon's Books business and beyond. You will work with Retail stakeholders within US Books and other Global businesses to identify defects, define improvements, and build innovative solutions which help reduce operational burden and inefficiencies in the retail business. You will coordinate with Global technical teams to build mechanisms to drive and deliver improvements in efficiency and ultimately, our Customers’ Experience. A successful candidate will be an effective communicator and analytical problem-solver, able to balance the requirements and expectations of retail stakeholders with the capabilities of the systems and support teams. The candidate will have a

· Bachelor's degree · 3+ years' experience working in retail, operations or technology industry· Experience managing projects and/or programs · · Skill and experience communicating and presenting to leaders · · Experience working with tools and applications within a distributed computing environment, including all core MS Office applications · · Background in operations, vendor management, in-stock, and/or product management preferred · · Process improvement experience, including participation in Kaizens and experience using LEAN tools · · Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment
