Microsoft HoloLens Team is continuing to revolutionize consumer electronic devices. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented engineer to lead the architecture and development of display and imaging systems and subsystems especially at the interface between hardware and software. The Principal Systems Engineer will need to demonstrate the ability to work concurrently with Embedded SW Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing and Test Engineering in creating innovative optical systems.

Responsibilities center around display system architecture, creating new and innovative electro-optical and opto-mechanical system concepts, inter-disciplinary requirements definition and derivation, and presentation to and between diverse departments. The position will require strong communication skills including written documentation and verbal communication to the product development team and senior management. The Principal Systems Engineer will identify and establish partnerships with key vendors and OEM's, leading the engagement and working closely with the partners to bring the display
• Proven track record of developing display and imaging systems • Experience performing mathematical analysis and finite element simulations • 10+ years of experience in an architecture or lead design role • Experience modeling and simulating complex display or imaging systems in MATLAB or C++ • Experience using statistical and analysis software • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – cross-group and cross-culture collaboration • Applicant must be able to travel to design and manufacturing locations throughout the world including Asia and Europe Education: • MS or PhD in Optics, Physics,
