As part of the Surface design verification team, we are looking to hire a Principal SW/FW Engineer who will be responsible for quality validation solutions in our tablet devices. The area of responsibility spans system, software, and electrical engineering knowledge. Typical work areas include OS kernel mode driver debug; implementation and execution of test scripts to exercise systems; some electrical verification.
Minimum Requirements: • BSEE (or equivalent 4 year Engineering degree) • Minimum 10 years' experience in system/firmware engineering • 5 + Years of Mangement experience • Working knowledge of Windows software • Some familiarity with electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes and power supplies • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel for recording data and generating report • Experience building test automation Additional Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with automation using various languages (powershell, C#, C++, etc)
