JOB DESCRIPTION We’re seeking a Principal of Program Management to drive projects that will help to transform Amazon Web Services’ supply chain and operations for server components. The ideal candidate has a track record of leading and implementing programs that deliver outstanding value for customers, best-in-class verbal and written communication skills, and a background in infrastructure operations where they utilized methodologies to improve processes and programs. Key responsibilities include influencing the vision and scope of multiple programs, determining launch strategies, gathering data to inform and evolve go-forward plans, proving the projects through pilot testing, and launching and optimizing the program beyond launch. The Principal Program Manager will identify, assess and manage risks, influence and lead a cross-functional team, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, determine optimal trade-offs, and play whatever role necessary to successfully
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · 10+ years’ experience in operations, product and/or program management. · Experience launching and scaling new processes, ideally in an entrepreneurial environment · Experience in product, program, and/or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services · Strong data analysis skills; the ability to run and synthesize data in order to make on-point business decisions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · MBA or Master’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field · Experience communicating with senior management
