Principal Product Manager
AWS is hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead AWS AppSync -- a serverless backend service based on GraphQL -- for building web, mobile, and IoT applications. AppSync launched as GA in April 2018 and has already been used by thousands of developers as the backend for their collaborative, real-time, and offline-enabled applications. These applications include chat, virtual meeting spaces, IoT dashboards, and game leaderboards that require users to work on shared data, receive updates in real-time, and manipulate the data even when offline. AppSync makes this easy for developers by offering a consistent programming interface for frontend developers regardless of whether they are integrating DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Aurora Serverless, and/or Lambda on the backend. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive a V1 service. You will continually be working with our customers (developers!) to understand their most important use cases and ensure (1) those are added to the service and
· 7+ years of product management experience targeting technical audiences, with a passion for building new technology · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent · MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent · Knowledge of or experience working across multiple platforms/applications (Android, iOS, Web) · Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss deep technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees. · Success delivering products/services in a startup, or other fast-paced, high-growth environment · Experience analyzing and presenting
