Manager, Tech Program Management – IT Deployments Job Description Global IT seeks Manager for the Global IT Deployments team. This team is responsible to deliver right products to Amazonians at right state and right time. We deploy Minimum Lovable Product (MLP) at scale inside Amazon. We deal with product type such as software, services, hardware and hybrid (hardware and software combo). Our program is scaled to deploy products from 100 to several thousands of Amazonians. The deployments team plays a critical role helping product teams test their products in Amazon to gather customer feedback before product becomes publically available. The Deployments team is the gatekeeper for any new products to be tested/used by Amazonians and we advocate for our customers globally. Your ability to work independently with limited direction, communicate effectively with team members in disparate geographic locations, and provide leadership and direction will be keys to your success. You will manage multiple
· 8+ years of experience in a Program or Project Management role in IT infrastructure, two years of experience must involve hands on IT infrastructure architecture and system design in a global, matrix organization. · 4+ years of experience leading · Demonstrated ability to develop and attract top talent · Proven track record of managing high scale, ambiguous and complex projects · Understanding of core IT infrastructure and service concepts. · Highly proficient written and verbal English skills · Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related
