Amazon is looking for a Manager of Software Development to work on Amazon Go and Amazon Books, Amazon's first-ever brick and mortar retail stores. Amazon Go is a new kind of store with no lines and no checkout – you just grab and go! Customers simply use the Amazon Go app to enter the store, take what they want from our selection of fresh, delicious meals and grocery essentials, and go! Our checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by our Just Walk Out Technology, which automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual cart. When you’re done shopping, you can just leave the store. Shortly after, we’ll charge your Amazon account and send you a receipt. · A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience; · 5+ years of Software Development experience · 3+ years of experience as a development manager building and leading strong engineering teams · Deep hands-on technical expertise in cloud based distributed software design and development, more so using AWS services · Experience with Java, or Java Script · Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Master’s degree in Computer
