Come help us take comparison shopping on Amazon to the next level! The Product Comparisons team owns the comparison shopping experience on Amazon which has been a very successful and important feature for customers, helping them make critical purchase decisions as well as discover more, relevant options. There’s a huge opportunity to re-invent the current product to deliver a much richer, more pervasive, and powerful experience. And, with the selection and scale of Amazon, this is actually no easy feat, requiring innovation in UX across the site, back-end service layers, and big data sets and processing pipelines. We’re looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead the team through this next set of challenges towards the larger vision. You will own end to end design, development and operations of the comparison experience globally. You will be a strong and vocal engineering partner with product management to define strategy, requirements, and timelines and ensure we are
· Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. · 5+ years of management experience leading teams developing scalable software products and services · 3+ years of hands-on software development experience in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, C/C++, Python · Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals · Ability to work independently, excellent problem solving skills · Proven detail and results-oriented person with a focus on delivery· Master's degree in computer science or related field · Experience with
