The Cross Category and Cross Channel (XCM) Insights team is looking for an analytical and technically skilled market researcher to join our team. This position will be responsible for developing and supporting best-in-class market research methodologies and supporting techniques to meet defined business objectives. The Research Manager will work across the team and vendors to execute and develop a searchable catalog of world-class research. Upon completion of studies, the Segment Research Manager reviews the collected data, tags insights, authors synthesis reports and makes business-oriented recommendations that materially benefit the Amazon consumer business. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as outstanding business acumen. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, vocally self-critical, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. · A minimum of 5 to 7 years within the research industry (designing and managing primary research, designing database queries, or synthesizing secondary research) · Strong SharePoint skills · Ability to assimilate relevant data sources and hone in on key insights that drive business recommendations. · Experience with a wide array of product, brand, advertising and customer satisfaction research methodologies · Exceptional written and oral communication abilities · Strong analytic skills with experience in statistical modeling and analysis · Proficient with Excel, MS Word, SQL and SPSS, Q, R, or
