Our emerging technologies team, within Amazon’s Device organization (Amazon Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and more), is looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented individuals to join our fast paced, start-up environment to help invent the future. We solve significant customer problems in the consumer electronics space through devices, mobile applications, cloud services (AWS), computer vision, and machine learning. As an Operations Manager, you will directly manage employees responsible for performing critical functions that redefine the capabilities of our products. Duties include managing individual and team performance expectations and goals, providing individual coaching feedback sessions, maintaining and improving quality and throughput of manual tasks, and monitoring real-time productivity and schedule adherence. · B.S or higher level of education in a quantitative field. · 6+ years relevant experience managing operators (customer service associates, data annotators, or other operational teams). · Experience creating, understanding, and improving performance metrics· Master’s degree or MBA in a quantitative field is preferred (mathematics, statistics, science or an MBA). · Excellent knowledge of statistical concepts and their application to operations along with expertise in the use of technical/statistical tools to drive quality and process improvement. · Strong written and oral (speaking, listening, interpretation)
