The NA Consumer Economics team uses Economics, Statistics, and Machine Learning to understand and influence the complex economy of Amazon’s 3rd party sellers. In Consumer, we are driven to help the world’s entrepreneurs grow their businesses by delivering a great experience -- selection, quality, and low prices -- to customers on Amazon.com. We are an interdisciplinary team, committed to using cutting edge technology and leveraging the strengths of engineers and scientists to build solutions for some of the toughest business problems at Amazon. Our goal is to minimize the friction of transactions between customer and sellers at Amazon.com using predictive models and causal inference. You will work with business leaders, scientists, and economists to translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of highly scalable distributed services. You will partner with scientists, economists, and engineers to help

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field · Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design · Computer Science fundamentals in data structures · Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis · Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java, C++, C#· Experience building large-scale machine-learning models · Experience with Big Data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark · Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers · Knowledge of professional software
