As an HPC Application and Performance specialist in EC2's engineering team, you'll wear many hats, including technical advisor, software developer and evangelist. You must possess a unique combination of deep technical skills and some business acumen and be strongly self-motivated by a drive to ensure our customers and partners are able to take full advantage of the services and software we build to deliver on their own HPC products and needs. Ideally, you’re someone who knows the current field of HPC solutions available to customers, has a view about the best way to use them, but also wants to help guide the broader HPC industry in new directions. You have immediate credibility with technologists and developers at all levels, from PhDs to CIOs. You love to share your passion with others and exhibit good judgment
· Ten or more years of experience in the design and implementation of HPC clusters and their application workloads. · Experience with performance tuning at the application and library level and use of profiling tools to help locate bottlenecks. · Experience with software development languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript or Python · Experience in a customer-facing role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect. · A technical undergraduate degree in science, engineering or computational discipline and a post-graduate degree or equivalent experience.· Exceptional interpersonal
