Amazon is looking for a Head of Events to join our Global Communities Group (GCG). GCG is building innovative and engaging new communities that connect critical third party partners and Amazon to accelerate learning and knowledge sharing to delight our end customer. This includes a global program of in-person events, combined with digital content channels and awards programs that takes Amazon’s commitment to the success of our partners to the next level. In this role you will lead the end-to-end design and execution of a series of highly visible events for our third party communities. You will combine event management and event marketing expertise to build a world class attendee experience for our third party communities. You will be part of the GCG business leadership team and coordinate professionals in technology, event management, social media, communications, and content creation to build a compelling and invaluable learning and networking proposition for owners within our third party
· 10+ years of experience building and developing teams responsible for complex, high profile events. Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail. · Thrive in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization. · Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables. · A willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously.
