AWS is seeking an experienced events manager with a passion for startups and technology. This person will plan and execute global events that drive awareness and adoption of AWS, and provide resources that help startups become more successful. Your primary focus will be on building the strategy for global third-party conferences, and leading our sponsorship activation. This includes establishing a process with global team to identify and prioritize 3P events, and manage budget allocation. You will take the lead on contract negotiation, planning, coordinating cross-functional teams, and onsite execution. For smaller events, you will build a self-service model and asset toolkit that global teams can use to execute on brand and in alignment with global startup events objectives. You will also play a key role in defining and executing the demand generation, lead management, and follow-up strategy. Measuring and analyzing results for your events – from CSAT to downstream business impact – will

· 5+ years of relevant experience in event management, executing large-scale, tech events. · Documented track record developing and executing events that generated measurable results. · Proven track record of operational excellence in event or program management, including building efficient processes/workflows. · Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience gaining consensus and securing deliverables from individuals inside and outside of the organization. · Demand generation and/or digital campaigns experience using social, email, SEO/SEM, live stream, or community outreach
