The Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) Finance team is seeking a Finance Manager to support the Topology and Strategic Capacity Planning team and the Modeling and Optimization (MOP) team. This role will support operations research scientists, machine learning specialists, software developers, and project managers who lead the industry in the development of innovative algorithms and optimization strategies to maximize long term profitability of Amazon’s Retail business. The Topology and Strategic Capacity Planning is responsible for driving cost effective fulfillment processes by optimizing network topology and node positioning, capacity planning and inventory positioning, while the MOP team creates optimal solutions for outbound transportation, network design and routing technology. Amazon operates the most complex retail networks in the world, delivering billions of packages to hundreds of millions of homes and businesses annually. Responsibilities will include: • Partnering
· MBA or Masters In Economics, Finance or similar discipline with analytical bias · Advanced knowledge of supply chain operations including inventory and transportation management · 8+ years' experience in a large corporate finance environment with heavy emphasis on analytics · Ability to write and read basic SQL. Advanced SQL would be considered a plus · Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items · Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic, and opaque environment · Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload; effective multi-tasking skills
