Our team's mission is to train hundreds of millions of learners on the AWS cloud, and do so using cutting edge techniques and technologies. The systems we used to do this must not only be agile, adapting to the growth rate of a hyper-growth business, but they also need to leverage the latest AWS technologies, and push the boundaries of what is possible in the learning space. We are seeking a Director for our software development teams in this space. In this role, it will be your job to oversee the development of several Learning Services Engineering projects, and deliver that portfolio to the AWS Training and Certification business. Projects include capabilities such as a Learning Management System (LMS), a hands-on labs capability, and related services. · 10+ years of software development experience · 5+ years managing engineering teams · Strong communication skills, both business and technical · Strong organizational skills, including project management · Decision-making acumen, and good business judgement · Experience with contemporary, cloud-based technologies · Experience building systems on the AWS cloud · Experience leading teams building highly-scalable and highly-available systems
