Are you a designer who loves creating beautiful interfaces and data visualizations? Want to make your mark on an innovative new v1 product that will transform how products are designed, built, and improved? Microsoft's Product Insights team is redefining real-time business analytics. Our mission is to empower teams and people to improve their products and services through ML/AI-powered insights. This new v1 product enables people to spot and act on the high-value insights from vast sets of product signals. It enables teams to collaborate to make smart decisions that move the needle for their customers. It operates at planet scale, able to handle petabytes of data per day and billions of devices. We seek a passionate designer to lead the creation of an innovative new UX for Product Insights. With the experience you envision, users will intuitively discover, visualize, and work with their data, collaborate and share, and derive contextual insights powered by ML and AI. As a designer, you will: Advocate for customers and champion user-centered design practices Build consensus around experience architecture and interaction design Quickly produce quality wireframes, hi-fi comps, and prototypes in a fast-paced, iterative environment Collaborate with feature teams to clarify business and user goals and define UX-related feature requirements Lead design brainstorming and work sessions Conduct UX research and incorporate results into product solutions Communicate with stakeholders to realize user experience design vision
Design degree or equivalent training, plus 3+ years industry experience in interactive design, visual design, and/or information architecture Design portfolio of both personal and team-based work Preferred Qualifications Problem solving and analytical skills Interaction design thinking and customer focus Clean visual design skills and attention to detail Fluency with standard UI design software tools (e.g., Sketch, Abstract, InVision, Figma) Working knowledge of standard prototyping software (e.g. Framer) Proficiency with web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JS) Excellent communication skills Great
