The Device, Digital and Alexa Support – Analytics team is looking for Data Scientists excited to collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Research Scientists, and other Data Scientists to spearhead innovative solutions increasing Amazon’s ability to personalize Customer Service. As a successful data scientist, you need to deeply understand customers and how best to support them. You will identify specific and actionable opportunities to solve existing business problems. You need to be a sophisticated user of advanced quantitative techniques for answering specific business questions, and an expert at synthesizing and communicating insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication. · Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative field with three years of working experience as a Data Scientist · Experience in SQL, R, Python, or another scripting language · Track record of diving into data to discover hidden patterns and of conducting error/deviation analysis. · Knowledge of various machine learning techniques and key parameters that affect their performance. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. · Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills·
