Amazon is all in on games. We are a new and energetic team building the BI systems for our games. We’re looking for an experienced data engineers to help us architect and build a centralized data system that integrates with multiple data sources (e.g.: game data, Twitch, retail, marketing). As a data engineer you will develop scalable and innovative solutions to process terabytes of real-time unstructured data and enable us to gain insights into the player lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: · Work closely with game teams, Twitch, finance and marketing to build data solutions using AWS tools in order to gain insights for our games. · Design, implement and support an analytical data infrastructure providing ad-hoc access to multiple stakeholders. · Creation and support of real-time data pipelines built on AWS technologies including Flink, Spark, EMR, Glue, Kinesis, Redshift/Spectrum and Athena. · Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline · 4+ years of industry experience in software development, data engineering, business intelligence, data science, or related field with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets · Experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing · Experience using big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Spark etc.)· Experience working with AWS big data technologies (Redshift, S3, EMR) · Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles
