We have shipped near human parity productions systems, Custom Translator and Power Point translation feature. Our team builds and runs the translation service that powers translations in Skype, Bing, Office and Windows, as well as translation apps on iOS and Android. The service is also used by thousands of companies around the world to translate everything from social media to technical documents.
We are looking for a Senior Scientist to help us get the most out of our training data. For world class neural machine translation systems high quality data is fundamental, it is the oxygen we need to improve and evolve our translation service. Your work will involve finding and integrating new data sources, cleaning up and filtering our data for maximum training effect, and to measure resulting translation quality. You will aggregate and visualize data about our translation quality, creating actionable insights and guiding our research scientists in their quest for improved machine translation
A minimum of a master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Strong proficiency in Python, C#, C++ or Java Background in Machine Translation or NLP is essential Experience and demonstrated interest dealing with large scale textual data is essential Preferred Qualifications A Ph.D. in Machine translation, NLP or a related field would be a strong plus Experience with Django, pandas, NumPy, matplotlib and scikit-learn is a plus
