Work hard, have fun and make history with Amazon's legal team. We are looking for an experienced attorney to help manage Amazon’s labor and employment issues throughout the US. This role will focus on advice and counseling, as well as managing the defense of litigation, related to compliance with wage and hour laws. Responsibilities also include advice and counseling in general labor and employment issues such as those relating to discrimination, disability accommodation, hiring, performance management and discharge, wrongful termination, employee privacy, non-compete agreements, protection of trade secrets, union organizing campaigns, and other relevant labor and employment issues. This role will also manage litigation, government agency investigations, proactive training, and administrative charges as well as assess, select, and supervise outside counsel. This position will work actively with internal clients in the Human Resources Department and requires the ability to travel and work

· 7+ years of legal experience · J.D. degree and membership in good standing in one state bar is required· A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience is preferred · Experience with complex and class action wage and hour employment litigation is preferred · Experience with large hourly populations is preferred · Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations · Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams · Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
