Amazon is seeking dedicated, analytical candidates with a proven track record of performance to be part of a centralized enterprise risk and regulatory compliance team. Amazon has a diverse set of global businesses, and each business has some level of compliance requirements across multiple areas. This team will ensure that an effective program is in place to validate each business has identified their regulatory responsibilities and established effective processes, controls and self-testing to understand current status of compliance and identify gaps. This team will also assist in risk ranking and mitigation of gaps identified throughout the organization. The Compliance Specialist will assist in the continued and further development, implementation and enhancement of the Sanctions and OFAC Program (“Program”) for all jurisdictions where Amazon operates. He or she will support and work with the Enterprise Risk Compliance Officer, the Enterprise Risk Compliance Investigator team, management,
· Bachelor’s Degree · 1-3 years of experience in regulatory or compliance environment, a regulatory agency, risk management or other internal control functions (Trade Compliance, Banking, Law firm) within a complex international organization.· Experience with OFAC compliance requirements and a compliance function or sanctions screening systems for a corporation, law firm, trade compliance function, payments, money transmitter or banking industry. · Fluent in English and at least one other language. · Written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate concepts into clear steps and
