AWS Data Center Global Services is searching for an experienced CAD Designer to join our Team. This position will provide support to the Data Center Global Services Design Engineering Team through preparation of computer generated design drawings from blueprints, models, hand drawings and other archive types. Candidates should be well versed in graphical communication for data center electrical, mechanical engineering and construction drawings. The design documents will incorporate elements of high, medium and low voltage transmission fundamentals, industrial electrical distribution, wire types and sizes, conduit types and configurations for riser and underground applications, as well as fiber optic and copper data/voice media types, HVAC, Plumbing, and fire protection plans, details, elevations, and schedules. Candidates should have experience producing and maintaining permit and construction MEP Engineering drawing sets for large facilities (Data Centers, Factories, Hospitals, etc.).
· 5+years of experience within the CAD and MEP disciplines using AutoCad, Solidworks and Revit · Experience working with building engineering and construction technology · Experience taking drawings from conceptual design through construction documents· Data Center Professional Accreditation · Previous experience with Data Center Design or operations · Large Project Revit Experience · Component detailing and product development experience is a plus · Experience having set up large CAD libraries or repositories · Understanding of information security protocols for secure file storage and transfer
