Microsoft has an immediate opportunity for an attorney to join the U.S. subsidiary CELA team to provide legal support for the U.S. One Commercial Partner group, focused on recruiting, enabling and driving solution-based sales with and through Microsoft's industry-leading ecosystem of partners. The role will entail working closely with lawyers and business clients to support a variety of partner-based transactions, strategies, business development opportunities as well as legal compliance initiatives with Microsoft's large and diverse U.S. partner base. The position will be based in Bellevue, WA.
Serve as the principal point of contact and trusted adviser on a variety of legal issues and strategic initiatives intended to support the digital transformation of Microsoft's customers with and through partners; Work closely with members of Microsoft's commercial legal team based in the corporate headquarters and other subsidiary-based colleagues on partner-related efforts; Work closely and coordinate with CELA colleagues to maximize the effectiveness of legal support on major partner transactions and negotiations as needed; Work with business clients and CELA colleagues to ensure partner feedback
Juris Doctor and/or a Bachelor of Laws or equivalent higher degree in law with excellent academic credentials and a license to practice law in one or more jurisdictions (E.g., Admission to the state bar of at least one U.S. State). 5 or more years of experience as a transactional attorney in-house and/or at a law firm with experience in cloud computing, software licensing, various partner agreements (co-sell, build-with, go to market), joint ventures or other intellectual property matters Well-versed in offering general legal, commercial and strategic advice with particular familiarity with cloud,
