If so, then the Experiences and Devices Team in Microsoft's Corporate External and Legal Affairs Group is the place for you. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated attorney to provide front-line legal support for Microsoft's Windows applications, partner analytics, and mobile apps and experiences teams. This attorney will work at Microsoft's global headquarters in Redmond, Washington.

The primary responsibilities for this position will include: Drafting and negotiating transactional documents, including agreements relating to the development, distribution, and licensing of modern applications and related services. Counseling and advising business executives and engineers on a wide variety of complex and developing legal, product development and business matters including privacy, intellectual property and regulatory compliance. Meeting with senior executive and product group clients on a regular basis to conduct legal reviews of business and product development activities.
We are looking for an attorney with the following qualifications: Excellent academic credentials, a J.D. or equivalent from an ABA accredited law school, an active license to practice law, and at least 3+ years as a practicing attorney. Experience in intellectual property counseling, licensing, transactions and privacy in the software or technology services industry is preferred. An ability to work efficiently, prioritize issues, meet demanding deadlines, and manage complex, multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment and across geographies and inter-departmental teams.
