Microsoft has an immediate opening for an experienced attorney to join the Global Employment and Migration Group to work on cutting-edge global employment and immigration law issues in support of its global Human Resources organization. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work on a centralized programs and policies that impact employees across the 100+ countries where Microsoft operates.

In this job, you will: Advise and collaborate with the central and field-based Human Resources organization to develop and implement global policies and initiatives in compliance with local laws. Serve as a central subject matter expert on complex cross-border issues, such as data privacy, background screening, mergers and acquisitions, diversity, global talent acquisition, employee representation, leaves of absence, contingent staff, reductions in force, global mobility, and strategic workforce planning. Identify global labor and employment law trends and develop and implement company-wide risk
Qualifications Should Include: Law Degree from an accredited law school with a license to practice law, and outstanding academic credentials; A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated work experience as an attorney. Significant experience with cross-border employee issues is preferred. Experience in developing, managing, and driving programmatic change is preferred; Highly developed written and oral communications skills, with the ability to clearly articulate recommendations and options about complex legal and programmatic issues; Strong client service focus and the ability to work efficiently, prioritize
