The Digital, Device and Alexa Support - Analytics team is seeking a smart, passionate and experienced Machine Learning scientist to develop cutting edge machine learning, NLP and statistical solutions. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient modeling algorithms to provide the best customer experience on the earth. This high-profile position requires superior analytical thinkers with the ability to handle large ambiguous problems. The successful candidate will be a person who enjoys diving into data to analyze root causes and implement long term solutions. Candidates must have a deep understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling.
· A PhD in Machine Learning/NLP, Statistics or similar field. · Experience in a business environment working with very large and complex datasets. · Experience in using R/SAS and SQL in a Linux/UNIX environment · 1+ years of experience with Python · Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to convey key insights from complex analysis to business partners. · Strong problem-solving ability · Ability to account for theoretical properties and assumptions of models when applying in practice. · Experienced with NLP/NLU methods and Deep Neural Networks · Strong skills with Python
