Looking for an opportunity to make a significant business impact? The Windows PR team is looking for a Commercial and IoT PR Lead. The Windows commercial space is a multi-billion dollar business, encompassing organizations of all sizes, from small business to the largest corporate enterprises.

The Windows Commercial and IoT PR Lead is responsible for driving the end-to-end PR plan, strategy and execution for Windows Commercial, helping to further broad commercial adoption of the Windows platform. This position will also be responsible for partnering with other teams in Microsoft to drive coverage of IoT momentum enabled by Windows 10.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in driving successful PR or marketing campaigns in the commercial space, has excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills, showcases savvy leadership with executives and teams of all sizes, and is proficient in the development of strategic communications plans.
Job description includes:

Deliver winning PR strategy for the Windows commercial space, grounded in product truths, in alignment with go to market and engineering milestones and focused on the achievement of business objectives
Deeply engage with media across technology and business press to showcase and demonstrate Windows business value
Identify strategic influencers for specific target audiences and develop strong plans for connecting with these audiences via PR tactics
Play a critical role in planning the launch of Windows 10; ensuring it will resonate with commercial customers, media and drive broad coverage
Partner with teams across Microsoft to showcase IoT momentum on Windows 10 via ongoing proactive PR strategy and press coverage
Create materials and other content to aid other Microsoft PR counterparts around the world to promote Windows 10
Work alongside marketing to identify and evangelize commercial customer business wins
Manage PR agency resources for maximum effectiveness, leading multiple resources to be integral members of the extended team
Be an integral member of the Windows PR team, participating in cross-team PR strategy
Partner closely with partners in marketing and partner PR teams across Microsoft to inform most impactful reviews plan
Responsible for the development and execution of metric-driven PR plan, including the development and maintenance of editorial calendars across owned communication channels
7+ years experience in public relations; communications experience focused on the business decision-maker audience required
Experience working with marketing teams and partnering closely on integrated campaigns
Passion for, and current understanding of, evolving media trends
Executive presence and professional maturity
Storytelling capabilities, exemplary written skills and experience in key message development
Proven ability to lead and mange cross-group teams and virtual teams, including agencies
Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse personalities
Strong cross-team collaboration skills and desire to be a team player on a winning team
Self-starter and can-do attitude, a must
