As a Vendor Account Manager for the Events & Production Studios organization you will manage the vendors used to create Microsoft's largest events. You will work with a dynamic group of people who will rely on your expertise to help them create flawless events with tight business, creative and technical execution through a vendor outsourced model. Responsibilities:
o Manage supplier performance to ensure contract and requirements compliance. Proactively drive process and technology improvements that will result in cost reduction and productivity & service level enhancements.
o Establish supplier alliances throumunication and information sharing. Ensure that they remain focused on our mutual goals, plan and invest to meet our growing needs and have scalability to support our changing requirements.
o Maintain contracts and requirements documentation to ensure requirements are kept current and changes are negotiated in a timely manner.
o Negotiate pricing terms and conditions for Microsoft Preferred Supplier agreements.
o Work with Microsoft Legal and Global Procurement with regards to risk, liability and Microsoft Supplier Program (MPSP) issues.
o Ensure timely resolution of issues related to supplier performance.
o Communicate with individuals at all levels inside and outside the company.
o Establish and deploy an aggressive Supplier Management Program that includes performance metrics, KPI reporting and analysis, scorecards, and formal business reviews.
o Use business intelligence and analytics to negotiate and determine supplier selection.
o Establish and drive process to onboard new suppliers which may include shadowing on an event.
o Ensure service levels are maintained, schedules are met and formal reporting and invoicing are timely and accurate.
o Responsible for ensuring all MPSP vendor contracts are cataloged, up-to-date and in compliance.
o Identify, evangelize and train internal and external organizations in Events Team and Production Studios processes and supplier management program.
o Assist the team in navigating the procurement process i.e. MyOrder, Smart Buy and SupplierSelect and be an active member of the business operations alias (Bizology) to answer team inquiries into these types of processes.
o Subject matter resource for the event marketing community in: Privacy, Microsoft's standard supplier agreement and relevant addendums, supplier management best practices, and procurement policies.
o Maintain relationships with internal departments to maintain familiarity with these policies and practices.

Experience Required:
o 8+years' experience in procurement, purchasing, contract management or supplier management.
o 5+ years' experience in contract negotiation.
o 5+ years working with contracts and legal requirements.
o Experience and proven ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
o Experience and proven ability to work in team environments and matrix organizations.
o 5+ years' experience or training in process re-engineering.
o Advanced persuasive presentation skills to Senior Management levels.
o Advanced process management skills, advanced business system development skills, advanced risk assessment and contingency planning skills, intermediate financial evaluation skills.
o 5+ years' experience in vendor/supplier account management.
o Strong PC skills and proficiency in all Windows applications.
o Familiarity with Microsoft Procurement (or similar) tools and processes such as Dealpoint, MyOrder, Smart Buy, Procuri, and MS Spend.
o Specialized purchasing or negotiation training a plus.
o Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and manage multiple projects.
o Excellent decision making, problem solving, communication and negotiation skills required.

Education:
o BA or BS degree required; degree in Business/Procurement/Accounting/Finance preferred.
