The Xbox System Engineering Team owns the design, development, testing and manufacture of Xbox Devices. We currently have an opening on the System Engineering Team for a UX Test Engineer to support design research on Xbox hardware products. This position takes your world-class engineering and validation skills to drive system-level issues across internal and external teams, to flawlessly execute under pressure, and then do it even better the next time.
Preferred Qualifications:
BA or MA/MS in User Research, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, related social science field or significant industry experience.
Passion for delivering the best customer gaming experience.
Experience in
o Customer acceptance and product validation for consumer products.
o Application of user research to gaming devices and related entertainment systems.
o Discovering root causes of research results through quantitative and qualitative data sets.
o Describing trends and patterns from emotions and behaviors to derive customer needs.
o Designing and conducting original research on consumer products.
o Articulating aggregated research findings into salient insights that predicts product usage and customer reactions.
o Building rapport quickly with research participants of different backgrounds and cultures.
o Strength in statistics for social sciences and six-sigma methodology.
o Modern gaming practices and popular gaming culture.
Project management skills. Will take ownership of assigned projects and be responsible for test deliverables, test schedules and results reviews within tight timelines.
Must have excellent communication and time management skills.
