The Microsoft Store ( has become one of the largest retailers of Microsoft products on a worldwide basis and is poised for significant growth in FY15. Furthermore, the expansion of our physical retail store presence continues to help us showcase Microsoft technology and illuminate our innovation story, by transforming the buying and service experience for our customers. To fuel this continued growth, we are expanding our team to inject product merchandising and management talent to support our US online sales channel.

Your role, as the US Online Sales Channel Product Manager, is to direct the online customer experience, plan and drive online merchandising initiatives, collaborate with online merchandisers to create relevant offers and improve customer experience, collaborate with other product mangers to cross promote product lines. Within the role you are responsible for driving the business against targets, creating strong partnerships with product group stakeholders, publishing and reporting business results and critical feedback to inform Microsoft Store strategy and tactics.


P&L Management:
- Ensure profitability in the US Online Store
- Own and monitor the US Online Store P&L for the PC category, to ensure we are driving to profitability, and to make sure we are tracking positively towards our quarterly/yearly targets
- Measure & analyze online store campaigns/promotions, at the macro level, to determine whether or not there is the appropriate gearing ratio to drive profitability, as well as identify any new opportunities or risks/variances
- Drive a process to adjust and course correct, when needed, to gain more revenue/units/margin attainment from the current US Online Store efforts.
- Build the US Online Store yearly forecast for PCs- from both a site metric and financial standpoint, tracking traffic, click thru, conversion, etc., as well as units, revenue, margin, AOV, RPV, etc.
- Work with finance and the buying teams to identify new promotions or modify existing promotions to drive more elasticity within the online channel.

Business (ROB):
- Own the US Online Store dashboard for the PC category.
- Develop a solid cadence of financial reviews, business reviews and internal team reviews to ensure alignment within the US Online store team.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic thinking around online merchandising to team members to push a higher degree of performance.
- Monitor NSAT, NPS, and Customer Experience and drive positive change to improve customer satisfaction.
- Be the Primary representative to the Omni channel category v-teams for the PC category.
- Be the Primary representative to the US subsidiary teams for the PC category.
- Be the Secondary representative to the PMGs (Primary: Global Category Mgmt Team) for the PC category.

Site Merchandising:
- Update and maintain the Merchandising promotional calendar as it relates to the PC category
- Direct category Campaigns, offers, and promotions to align with global marketing themes for the US
- Ensure timely execution of offers and promotions
- Develop strategic merchandising opportunities and placements to improve customer experiences and KPIs

Business Development:
- Identify news areas of opportunity for the US Online Store Team
- Work cross-functionally with the product teams, category teams, etc. to identify new areas of online channel expansion within the broader Microsoft devices and services business.
- Challenge current ecommerce practices to drive new/innovative ways of customer transaction in the online channel.
- Challenge the engineering team to develop new ecommerce capabilities for the online store.

- Drive the presence and affinity of the online channel by developing channel-wide programs/initiatives that reinforce the value of transacting on

- 10+ years of overall job experience in high tech or retail
- 8+ years of experience in site merchandising, buying, or category management for a consumer electronics company or major retailer
- Digital marketing strongly preferred
- College education strongly preferred, advanced degree in business a plus
