Datacenter Evangelist

Do you want to leverage the massive investments Microsoft has made in cloud computing to beat Google and Amazon? The Datacenter Briefing and Tour program is searching for a Datacenter Architect to deliver datacenter briefings on Microsoft cloud services at our Cloud Datacenters and Executive Briefing Center.

The Datacenter Briefing and Tour program brings over 1200 of Microsoft's most important customers through Microsoft's Cloud Datacenters every year and influences customer buying decisions around Microsoft Azure, Office 365, CRMOL and other public and hybrid cloud opportunities.

As one of the most influential customer facing programs within the company this role has significant customer touch in a rapidly evolving and growing area of investment for Microsoft.

The Datacenter Briefing is an offering where, working with account teams, we help Microsoft customers with defined sales opportunities to understand the Microsoft value proposition, evangelize the cloud platform, and prove to customers how Microsoft delivers cloud services.

The primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of Microsoft cloud messages to enterprise customers, influencers and partners and to deliver high quality, safe and repeatable tours of the Cloud Datacenters.

Primary Responsibility:
Deliver and manage the data center engagement program in Microsoft's Washington Datacenters - Redmond Ridge and Quincy
Manage the day to day Datacenter engagement pipeline including demand generation and opportunity qualification
Lead high quality and safe datacenter facility tours in compliance with all MCIO work rules and regulations
Deliver presentations to customers focused on Microsoft's cloud strategy, including Office 365 and Microsoft Azure
Deliver EBC briefing to customers and partners
Support program director with management of datacenter program pipeline, forecasting, and business health
Drive and evolve program content deliverables, to make sure they are current impactful and relevant. Create and capture new materials for program to expand and grow messages.
Actively manage program stakeholders in different business groups at corporate.

Other responsibilities include
Participate in community and outreach activities, evangelizing Microsoft cloud to teams
Train field sellers on how to best leverage Microsoft's Cloud Datacenters to drive sales
Maintain datacenter industry knowledge and competitor knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:
o Bachelor's Degree (B.S. /B.A.) or equivalent related work experience.
o 4-8 years of infrastructure related experience, 2-4 of Microsoft infrastructure / Core IO related experience, data center experience a plus
o Experience in technical selling is required
o Proven customer presentation skills including experience with executive level audiences
o Ability to relate customer issues and industry trends to Microsoft based solutions
o Passion for understanding and learning cloud delivery techniques, Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and private cloud solutions. Should have understanding of competitive landscape.

o Able to articulate complex technical answers to variety of audiences' questions
o Excellent organization skills, including ability to juggle several projects at once and adjust priorities accordingly
