In the DX Audience and Platform Evangelism division, our mission is to "Engage key technical audiences through scalable, world class engines to build preference for Microsoft platforms and skills that drive the development of leading applications and services across devices."

In this highly visible role, you will join the Developer Audience Evangelism team which is responsible for leading our evangelism strategy and planning across key developer profiles, spanning from students to startups to commercial developers. The team's charter spans the delivery of deep audience insights, competitive analysis, end-to-end developer GTM planning, as well as effective storytelling through deeply technical messaging and content.

For the role of Developer Marketing Lead - Web & Incubation, we are seeking an experienced talent who will step into an exciting new role to define and land the right breadth offers, content and evidence across our different developer personas. This role will be instrumental in driving preference and adoption of Microsoft technologies at scale. You will work closely with respective Product Teams and DX's Engines and Product Evangelism teams to drive measurable Developer Evangelism impact.

o You will specifically be responsible for our outreach to web developers, as well as a small set of incubation topics.
o Be our technical conscience and expert across different web scenarios (from backend to frontend to browser compatibility motions), as well as relevant tooling and backend services (Visual Studio, Microsoft Azure, O365, etc.) with deep, timely and proactive product, audience & competitive insights.
o Content - create our content strategy mapped to market opportunity, developer requirements, competitive dynamics, business goals and technology lifecycles. As the editorial lead, you are in charge of driving the right message to the right audience at the right time - and across all our channels. You will actively partner with teams around the company to ensure we fuel our global engines like the Microsoft Virtual Academy, our portal and Developer Camps with high-quality, deeply technical content.
o Offers - actively contribute to attractive x-dev audience offers that can scale through our global engines, incl. requirements definition, opportunity & competitive analysis, value prop and partnering with our engine teams on execution. Ongoing offer & content/evidence performance management/reporting.
o Evidence - source and produce audience-ready technical evidence mapped to editorial cadence.

Qualifications & Experience:
o This role requires a strong knowledge of (and passion for) our global developer audience and related technologies. Specifically, you should be very well versed in Microsoft and competitor web technologies, spanning front- and backend.
o Ability to analyze and diagnose complex product and business challenges, formulate solutions, and then motivate the broader organization to pragmatic action.
o Experience leading and driving multiple complex, global projects spanning different business and disciplines with a laser sharp customer-focus.
o The ability to influence for impact across the company is important and we are looking for someone with a collaborative, outcome-driven reputation for leading others who may not report directly to him/her.
o Poise and composure dealing with field and corp leaders both inside and outside Microsoft, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills that are persuasive will be key to success.
o The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years in the technical product marketing/management space with a proven track record of leading initiatives at (global) scale. A business and/or technical degree is required, MBA preferred.
