This is your chance to be part of a growing global team transforming Microsoft's computing platforms. The EPG Cloud + Enterprise sales team is currently recruiting a Worldwide Technology Specialist with a passion for customers and technology to focus on our application platform products and services. This is a global role operating as part of the EPG Cloud + Enterprise CTO Team supporting the EPG mainstream and incubation sales to drive Microsoft's cloud transformation forward.

This technical sales leadership role has a high Product Team focus and is an opportunity to drive customer-centered impact on our strategy both in the near & long term.

Primary Responsibilities:
o Be the senior technical sales resource on Microsoft's application platform & services
o Lead a segment of the Microsoft Cloud + Enterprise technical sales community
o Lead focused application-centric incubation technical sales communities
o Identify key blockers & drive transformation in sales of our application services
o Remove technical sales roadblocks - including direct involvement in strategic deals
o Work with the sales force on technical escalations to accelerate deals
o Aid in architecting solutions in a complex sales environment
o Present to customers - from CIOs, to BDMs, to corporate leaders

Requirements and Skills/Qualifications:
o Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and development with a focus on cloud service APIs, emerging trends and related technology
o Practical knowledge of building high scale enterprise apps across many workloads
o Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
o Insatiable desire to be a leader in Microsoft's Cloud transformation
o Unyielding passion to compete and win
o Able to articulate pros & cons of design/architecture decisions across a wide spectrum of factors - e.g. compute, network and storage concerns related to application using cloud architecture principles.
o Able to coach and mentor a broad constituency - TSPs, Consultants, Partners, & Customers
o Able to distill widely variant feedback into root cause issues and provide actionable feedback to other stakeholders

This position will be located in Redmond, WA and will require travel 30 - 50% of the time, including international.

As an Incubation TSP for our Enterprise Mobility business, you will be responsible for supporting the technical aspects of achieving Microsoft's business metrics (New Enterprise Mobility Workload Beachhead Wins wins) for this solution by providing strong technical sales leadership, overcoming technical sales objections, supporting partner sales execution and engaging with key stakeholders across EPG and SMS&P.

Our WW Incubation Sales organization is one of Microsoft's growth engines that deliver leading-edge solutions that drive our customers businesses forward. Incubation Sales is a part of WW Specialist Sales in the WW EPG sales organization (Enterprise and Partner Group), and we aim to improve "time to scale" for our businesses. We are responsible for building the next billion dollar businesses for Microsoft. We take new acquisitions and new products & services (and often new business models), and we have a worldwide dedicated sales team in 3 time zones who take these products from inception or acquisition to broad field sales integration. WW Incubation currently drives revenue, deployment, design wins and unit business results for the following businesses: Microsoft Azure Platform, Parallel Data Warehouse (PDW), LSX (Large Screen Experience), StoreSimple, Enterprise Mobility Suite and Internet Of Things.

This position will be based in the Pacific Northwest, Northern California, Southern California or Desert Mountain districts (WA, CA, AZ, CO) reporting to Kristie Atwood.

Responsibilities include:

o Drive the Enterprise Mobility business metrics through excellence in technical sales strategy and execution.
o Develop new Enterprise Mobility solution workloads and capability.
o For large and complex opportunities, provide deep technical SME support for Core Field Sellers.
o Develop a deep technical understanding of our competitor Enterprise Mobility solutions, become the compete SME.
o Contribute to the monthly Rhythm of the Business focusing on effectively achieving the Beachhead Win, metric, compete wins, reference wins, and necessary course correction actions in the business.

This is a unique opportunity for a top performer seeking a high impact, high visibility timezone technical specialist position from which to influence the future course of Microsoft. To be successful in this key role, we expect great technical leadership skills, Enterprise technical sales experience, strong passion for driving a business, great communication and consultative selling skills, outstanding collaboration and analytical skills, sincere customer focus, and to be able to deal well with constant change. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in the Microsoft competencies of Drive for Results, Cross Group Collaboration, Strategic Thinking & Leadership, Decision Making and Dealing with Ambiguity. You must be highly motivated, highly organized and a self-starter. Ideally, the successful candidate will have:
o 8+ years of related technical sales experience
o Strong understanding around the Enterprise sales motion
o Experience in the Enterprise Mobility space highly-desired, specifically in the context of the Device Management environment or Identity.
o Passion for sales and understanding of the specialist sales model and through and with partner selling, motivating and enabling the partner pre-sales and technical competency.
o Strong communication skills with the ability to work and lead through influence in a cross-group environment.
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
o Effective written and verbal communication skills to work with both internal and external audiences as a spokesperson and advocate.
o The candidate should be willing to travel 35% of his/her time to conduct customer and partner visits.
