The Dynamics Technical Sales Professional (TSP) is responsible for supporting Microsoft and Partner Sales Teams in initiating and executing sales of Microsoft Dynamics AX to a set of defined accounts within the Central Region. The TSP will work closely with the Dynamics Solution Sales Professional (SSP), and Microsoft's extensive network of Value Added Resellers to qualify, drive, accelerate and help close sales opportunities ranging from 100K to multimillion dollar opportunities across mid-size and enterprise accounts.
The successful candidate must have the following skills:
o Bachelor's degree required - MBA preferred
o 5yrs + experience in Discrete and/or Process Manufacturing industries such as Automotive, Equipment manufacturing or Consumer Packaged goods including extensive knowledge of standard business processes across customer service, field service, procurement and manufacturing.
o 5yrs + prior experience demonstrating or implementing Enterprise Resource Planning solutions. Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics or ISV solution provides a plus.
o Experience analyzing the business challenges and initiatives of prospective customers, developing personalized solutions and confidently demonstrating the solution that addresses the business challenges. Must be able to identify and align the business value of the Microsoft solution.
o Strong written and verbal communications skills.
o Effective collaboration to drive alignment and teamwork across organizational boundaries. Combines resources and joins efforts to achieve company-wide goals.
o Responds efficiently to changing demands and circumstances. Functions effectively in ambiguous situations and maintains a constructive attitude.
Prior experience working in a fast paced and dynamic sales environment along with the drive for results is encouraged
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
In lieu of pre-sales experience, a successful candidate will have deep hands-on experience implementing and/or administering complex ERP solutions in an Enterprise environment.
1) Discovery, Demonstrations, Presentations, RFIs and RFPs
The successful candidate must be able to understand the business challenges and initiatives of prospective customers by formulating and asking questions of individuals at all levels of an organization. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to personalize Dynamics AX and demonstrate the system confidently; ensuring that customers understand how their vertical business needs will be addressed by the adoption of Dynamics AX. Written communication is also highly important and experience of responding to RFIs and RFPs is essential.
2) Technical /Functional Skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or a comparable ERP application is required for individuals who fill this role. A fair amount of technical knowledge of adjacent technologies (application development, portals, databases, business intelligence and/or EAI) is desirable.
