Datacenter Technical Sales Professional
Midwest District EPG Team
Location: Illinois (Chicago or Downers Grove)

Microsoft - Midwest District has an immediate opening in Chicago (IL)/Downers Grove (IL)/Waukesha (WI) for a Data Center Solution Technology Professional to cover Enterprise customers in the Illinois/Wisconsin area. As a Technology Solution Professional (TSP), you will add value to Microsoft and its customers by proving the value of Microsoft's Datacenter solutions spanning both on-premises and cloud to customers to reach assigned revenue goals and commitments. The TSP-Datacenter works closely with SSP-Datacenter and Account Executive and will share product responsibilities across Windows Server, System Center, Windows Azure as well as Identity and Access (including Enterprise Mobility Suite and Enterprise Cloud Suite).
Qualifications include technical knowledge and deep understanding and experience on technology areas including: Windows Server, Hyper-V, System Center products including Virtual Machine Manager, Operations Manager and Configuration Manager, Linux/Unix integration and competitive knowledge of VMware solutions.
Success in this job is measured by:
Driving the win rate versus competitors within assigned Datacenter platform opportunities through the delivery of technical sales engagements (Technical Presentations, Architecture Design Sessions and Proofs of Concept, etc.).
The number of wins against VMware versus goal (where a VMware customer choose to deploy Hyper-V and run a multi-hypervisor environment or customers switches from VMware environment to Windows Server Hyper-V; goal defined on an FY basis).
Partner and Microsoft Services engagements result in Datacenter opportunity pipeline
Convincing customers with competitive products that Microsoft has a competitive and technically superior solution.
Ensuring that self-readiness, the readiness of other TSPs and team members are maintained for supported solutions.
Qualified candidates should have a BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience. 7-10 Years of software sales experience. Local travel is required.
