The North Central District has an immediate opening in Des Moines, IA for a Data Center Solution Sales Professional to cover Enterprise customers. As a Solution Sales Professional you will lead a virtual team of technical, marketing, Partner and consulting resources to advance the sales process and achieve/exceed quarterly budget targets in your territory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing new business, building strong business relationships, driving Cloud, Windows Server, Virtualization, System Center Management and Azure software sales and partner integration. The ability to effectively present to a wide range and size of audiences from IT Pro to CxO to business decision makers is a must. A good understanding of issues surrounding deployment, management, security and integration of technologies and solutions is required.

Key responsibilities include:

o Creating and executing a business plan to ensure your product's revenue and unit goals are achieved.
o Developing a healthy Azure, Windows Server, and Management Solutions pipeline of qualified opportunities.
o Develop in-depth understanding of the platform and related solutions and the value they bring in solving business problems.
o Ensure appropriate resources are engaged to help customers evaluate Microsoft Windows, Management and Azure solutions.
o Increase deployment of Hyper-V in your customer set.
o Drive customer and partner satisfaction for your products and solutions.
o Connect enterprise customers and partners with the product groups.
o Contributing to the recruitment, engagement and readiness of Partners who can help the Solution Sales Professional drive business.
o Team effectively with other sales representatives, Partners, Microsoft Consulting Services and Marketing to meet your goals and customer needs.
o Knowledge of AWS, VMWare, System Management (BMC, HP, Tivoli, etc), Linux, and other Unix technologies is a plus.
o Delivering reference and satisfied customers that can be leveraged in future sales engagements.

Requirements and skills for this position include:

o Strong, proven track record of solution selling, based on business value principles, experience focused on selling solutions to solving Enterprise customer problems thru technology.
o Demonstrated experience and expertise in selling technology solutions to senior business and IT decision makers by reinforcing the value of the technology to the customer's overall business pain and/or strategic opportunities.
o History of holding and consistently exceeding quota - Strong communications, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
o Practical knowledge and experience of Microsoft Server Platform Technologies, virtualization, customer operational issues and 3rd party integration with the windows platform is preferred.
o Ability to articulate the business value of the Microsoft Hybrid Cloud platform by positioning Azure, Windows Server, System Center (Management, Orchestration, Application Monitoring, Data Protection, Service Manager).
o Account Management and Prioritization Excellence: Demonstrated strategic time management and multitasking skills. Effectively manages sales pipeline with predictable business results that exceed revenue targets. High degree of collaboration with multiple Microsoft sales personnel, as well as Microsoft Partners will be required for success.
o Strong objection handling skills.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Travel: Omaha, Des Moines, and Kansas City area.
o Education/Experience: Successful candidates will have a BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
o Certifications: ITIL or related ITSM experience a plus
o 5-10 Years of enterprise software sales experience.
Position is based in Des Moines, IA but can live in Omaha, Des Moines, or Kansas City.
