with expertise in Mechanics
who has a proven track record of developing complex high volume consumer products.
The successful candidate will have the ability to lead System Design
to ensure system- and sub-system level mechanical and optomechanical design is carried out with the correct mechanics, reliability and materials considerations. A strong mix of technical breadth and depth is desired to tie electronics, optics, software and mechanical assemblies into compelling consumer experiences. Five
to ten years of experience in solving stress related issues in design of consumer electronics products is required. A track record of innovation and experience in mechanics of materials, drop and other reliability simulations in consumer electro and/or nonlinear structural simulation is required for this position.
The successful candidate should have 5+ years of experience in design of mechanical, electronic or optical products where mechanics and materials play a critical role, with at least three years in the area of consumer products. A track record of innovation and experience in stress analysis, materials engineering, mechanics and/or optomechanics to achieve cost targets is desired. Familiarity
with optomechanical and/or thermal design is preferred.
