Are you looking to join a team where product quality, reliability and customer satisfaction metrics are core principles in driving production development? Are you a fast learner who enjoys working through technical challenges in an agile environment?

The MTE (Manufacturing Test Engineering) team is looking for an experienced, technical software developer in test who will be a key leader in the delivery of MS manufacturing test systems to global partners. Successful candidate should have strong coding / debugging skill and a passion for quality. He or she must be an excellent problem solver who can work with ambiguity in an agile environment. Strong communication skill is required for this position in order to work effectively across global teams and product groups.

Our team partners with product groups to plan and deliver end to end customer experience on Microsoft hardware. We design and implement vital software and hardware systems used in our global Manufacturing facilities centers. Requirements:
o 8+ years of software test development experience using C# or C++, using OOP best practices.
o Strong debugging and technical problem solving skills, as well as a passion to solve hard, ambiguous problems.
o Experience developing test plans/strategies and ability to collaborate cross team to define effective measures of quality and risk.
o Define/deliver test cases, with a solid understanding of the trade-offs between automation and manual test cases.
o Clear understanding of when to leverage existing solutions/tools vs. designing innovative automation solutions from scratch.
o Prior technical test leadership project experience on a high volume consumer device is a definite plus.
