At Skype, our vision is about re-humanizing communications "from the living room to the boardroom." Meetings, being fertile ground for innovation, remains a competitive and open playing field. This is a meeting solution designed for small-to-midsized businesses (SMB) and teams, and expected to be offered at a price point of around $1,000. RoundTable 100 is an incredibly simple, yet powerful, device that requires no IT assistance and provides customers the opportunity to experience Skype for Business in small meeting spaces. This new meeting solution encompass a device purpose-built for Skype for Business, running our meeting client, an Azure service for coordination, management and a mobile App for Windows and Android Phones (iOS phone to follow later) for meeting and device control.

We are still at the beginning of building this next generation of a disruptive solution. We are looking for a strong and highly motivated software engineer to help us realize our aspiration for Meetings: Reliable, Performant, and equally if not more importantly, Usability. This position provides the opportunity to work on a broad array of technologies, ranging from Azure service, mobile app, networking, Client/server infrastructure, HTML5/Javascript, and more.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Skype for Business Core Engine team provides the kernel services of the Skype Server. Some of these services are: Windows Fabric integration, authentication and authorization, HTTP and SIP Routing and more of the key lower level key components that are core to the server bootstrapping, scale, availability and infrastructure. This position is focused on working on performance tuning, measurements and enhancements for the Core engine area and also to technically influence other areas of the Skype Business Server.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in collaboration Core Engine team members and other Skype for Business server group team members to define a performance run plan.
- Run, Monitor, Debug Performance runs for the entire SBS Server Group
- Develop and Enhance scenario plug-ins
- Committed to product quality and drive issues resolution.
- Be a technical mentor in performance tuning and optimizations.

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a development role.
- Solid C# and C++ Programming and debugging skills.
- Experience with Multi-threaded design and programming
