Skype are developing build the Android, iOS and Windows Phone applications used by millions of mobile users around the world. Mobile is a strategic platform for Skype. Software Development Engineers in Test at Skype are responsible and accountable for define acceptance criteria for feature development. They will develop and implement the end of end test plans for complex, multi-tier distributed applications throughout the full software development lifecycle. They play a key role in ensuring all appropriate applications (including new
and in production) are fully tested and instrumented to drive and measure optimal customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As a SDET for Skype mobile, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an automated end to end testing process and framework within the chosen mobile automation tool to minimize rework and maximize automation effectiveness.
You will help to ensure we ship a high-quality product on-time.
- You will help define end to end automation test strategy.
- Work closely with development on automation architecture and design and to ensure integrity, reliability and effectiveness of
automation.
- Support, maintain and document the automation infrastructure and procedures.
- Develop and executing automated end to end tests, analyzing and reporting results as well as maintaining, extending and
enhancing automation harness and testing infrastructure over time
- Work with the team to identify telemetry needed for end to end user scenarios and adopt the appropriate telemetry
infrastructure.
- Analyze the telemetry for quality trend such as defects and design issues. Work with the team to mitigate the quality issues.
- Issues tracking, reporting defects to developers, get beyond the problem report providing detailed information from isolated
testing scenario to relevant logs to developer to fast resolution.

Candidate Profile:

Prior QA and mobile automation testing experience. Windows Phone experience is a big plus Experience with all aspects/phases of automation including GUI, integration and stress testing.

- 8+ years of C++/C/C# programming experience
- 6+ years of software testing experience
- Ability to work across a matrix organization and be effective cross-functionally
- Experience with creating test plans based end user scenarios
- Scripting experience for Python/Perl
Preferred experience
- Mobile application development or testing experience on Android, iOS or Windows Phone
- Experience of Agile and iterative development processes, e.g. Scrum
- Experience with implementing end to end test framework
- Voip and real time messaging experience
- Experience working with cross-functional, geographically diverse teams
