Bing Geospatial team in Boulder CO is looking for strong motivated software engineers to scale up and improve distributed image processing and analysis system. Do you want to be part of an agile, energetic team of developers working on cutting edge technologies such as distributed processing of large amounts of imagery and LIDAR data, deep neural networks, databases, and many others? Located in downtown of beautiful Boulder CO close to ski resorts, hiking trails, and with 300 days of sunshine!
Your role is to design/develop workflows, algorithms and components in image processing, machine learning, databases, and internal UI tools in active collaboration with other engineers and teams at other locations, your work will scale up to millions of street-side and aerial images, your database will store and serve billions of records, UI tools will have smart inline algorithms. Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 8 years' experience in development
- Thorough knowledge of the development, test and release process
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Coding skills in at least one of the following: C/C++/C#
- Ability to work in collaboration with different teams across the company
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree required

The Bing Geospatial Imagery Group is looking for a motivated Senior Software Development Engineer for the Tools and Infrastructure team. We are a cutting-edge team that builds large scale systems and computer vision algorithms for Bing Maps. You'll work with cutting-edge technology that helps builds the imagery that you see on Bing Maps.

You should have strong passion for and a proven knowledge of design, coding, optimization, debugging, and software engineering tools (C/C++, C#). You should be highly motivated, self-driven, and possess excellent technical problem solving skills. To be successful in this position you must demonstrate or quickly gain knowledge of large distributed systems and software engineering tools and have the passion to tackle challenging and unknown areas.

We are located in the Boulder, CO office, right under the Flatirons of the Rocky Mountains. We are only a mile from the University of Colorado. The area is a great place to explore, a great place to raise a family and we offer the ability to work with challenging, interesting and fun problems.

Skills & Requirements:
5+ years of commercial software development experience is required.
BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science, and or related discipline, PhD a plus but not required.
Experience in design, development, deployment and maintenance of large distributed systems is required.
Experience with developing large scale SQL dependent applications is required.
Experience developing with C\C++\C# is a plus.
Experience in developing cloud based services/applications a plus, Azure preferred.
Proven CS fundamentals and experience working in large and complex software projects.
