One of the most important things we'll do is make sure that we are really clear on which people in organizations would be most happy with Surface and ensuring that we're positioned to help make sure they get Surface. This role will focus on Enterprise with a goal of winning more deals every month until we're winning all that we should be winning, for the people that deserve Surface. Building a comprehensive and 'live' plan that shows an understanding of the needs of Enterprise customers and what is required to win across sales, channel, apps, accessories, attendance at industry events, evidence and PR. This will require doing a few things with excellence:
1) Understanding the enterprise TDM audience and knowing all that they'll need to love Surface
2) Moving Surface to be an enterprise class OEM
3) Looking for sales blockers and key tools that are needed by sellers to close deals
4) Identify key strategic projects that need to get completed and lead some of them

The team will be organized by audience or deal type and you will form part of that team as the Enterprise leader. This role requires experience in deeply understanding customers and winning them. You must have a track-record of delivering great content that is used by sellers and partners. You will be someone that other teams want to work with and look to as a great collaborator.

We are growing our Retail marketing to help Microsoft become a devices and services company with consumers through the retail channel. This will be a team that makes Surface the #1 tablet in retail because you can truly get productive with Surface.

Core Responsibilities:
We need someone to work on the retail strategy team to maximize revenue/unit through class of trade (Consumer electronic, Mass Merchant, Etail, Clubs, B2B2C, Breath, etc.) optimization in the consumer space. You will integrate into Microsoft to ensure that we are very good at:

1) Develop baseline/guidance by class of trade to drive Surface revenue/unit
2) Define and pilot new selling initiatives to maximize ROI and increase sales
3) Understand who buys per class of trade to tailor our offers/approach in order to reach the target audience
4) Understand competition per class of trade and levers they've implement to adjust our strategy
5) Establishing a close partnership with the retail sales team to ensure we have a tight feedback loop.

Skills:
o Experienced with the whole customer lifecycle for devices or hardware across consumer channels and have great customer and partner empathy and a track record of making them feel like your company has their back, always.
o Proven success as an excellent collaborator across multiple groups on multi-faceted marketing issues.
Ability to understand a complex business, different audience perspectives and growth levers in order to formulate a sound marketing strategy that will have maximum business impact.
o Ability to draw insights & conclusions from diverse data sets and translate into understandable business actions.
o Deep project and ongoing program management experience. Ability to identify required resources/team members, drive a sense of common purpose and shared goals/vision, and deliver results as an outcome of ongoing or time-bound work. Ability to do all of this across multiple simultaneous projects/programs of various complexity and scale.
o Strong critical thinking ability; able to develop unique methods of analysis to yield results.
o Versatile communicator, interacting on various professional audience levels to deliver written/oral communications across organizations in a professional and confidential manner.
o Strategic ability to think and execute globally
o 5+ years of product marketing and/or product management experience.
o BA or equivalent 4-year degree.

This role will focus on supporting our large deal and the WWLP business desk with a goal of winning more deals every month until we're winning all that we should be winning, for the people that deserve Surface. Building a comprehensive and 'live' plan that shows an understanding of the needs of what is required to win these large deals via the channel and direct. This will require doing a few things with excellence:

1) Working closely with the WWLP Business desk to manage the regular escalations of large deals
2) Assisting in large, complex deals where Surface Marketing is required over and above the Surface Biz Dev team in EPG
3) Capturing trends on these large deals and ensuring that we are sharing them out as way to win and scale
4) Building and planning for future deal empowerment models that provide a framework and empowerment to the field
