Microsoft Azure is our public cloud offering that will lead a generational shift in the industry, as well as within Microsoft. Our team, Azure Product Marketing, is at the center of this exciting journey. We play the role of solution centric story tellers and marketing quarterbacks in a fast paced bi-monthly innovation ship cycle.

As a member of Azure product marketing team, you will lead core product marketing efforts for Mobile Services. Mobile Services includes Mobile Backend as a service, Notification Hubs, API Management and other services in development. Access to mobile applications now dominates global internet traffic. With the proliferation of devices and our OS neutral approach, we have an unprecedented opportunity for Azure Mobile Services to be the platform for all mobile application development.

Areas of responsibility include:
o Making our solution and product value propositions real for customers, partners, and field by delivering product positioning, messaging, storytelling and core content for the portfolio of Azure Mobile Services.
o Owning core content strategy and delivering exceptional "first and best" core product content.
o Serving as a solution/workload subject matter expert within internal corporate and external customer and partner events and briefings.
o Driving product disclosure and roadmap across the product lifecycle.
o Leading co-marketing activities with partners
o Designing and executing digital marketing and customer lifecycle marketing initiatives
o Creating product and feature names while aligning with broader branding initiatives.
o Be the marketing execution hub and co-own launch decisions with business and engineering teams
o Synthesize a deep understanding and point-of-view on competitor offerings in the space and teach the broader organization how to compete and win
o Engage and win-over influencers with excellent product advocacy, evangelism and thought-leadership
o Work with the peer teams to determine and influence the Go-To-Market models

The ideal candidate has a deep passion for technology, and a good understanding of cloud services and mobile technologies. Experience and a track record of success in product marketing is essential. Prior experience in mobile specific solutions highly preferred. The ability to drive with autonomy in a high-visibility environment is a must-have skill, as is the ability to collaborate across org boundaries.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
o At least 7 years' experience marketing commercial software to developers and IT
o Excellent communication skills, high degree of accountability with willingness to take measured risks and set bold goals
o Proven capability to deliver world class marketing BOM, including value proposition, evidence, blogs, whitepapers & presentations for identified scenarios, products/features and segments/audiences
o Drive for results and action oriented
o Ability to translate mobile solutions understanding into a compelling story for customers' that clearly articulates Microsoft's strategy, benefits and differentiation when using Azure's services
o Understanding of the mobile application development space
o Ability to analyze and diagnose complex product and business challenges, formulate solutions, and then motivate the broader organization to pragmatic action
o Desire to be involved in a development stage business with an entrepreneurial bias
o Proven capability to develop strong working relationships with customers, senior executives, engineering teams, and other product and marketing groups across Microsoft

The candidate must also have:
o B.A./B.S in Computer Science, Marketing or related field Computer Information Systems, preferred
o M.B.A (or equivalent in related work experience)
