Qualifications:

- Undergraduate Degree (minimum) in Communications, Marketing or Information Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of PR or marketing communications experience.
- Experience with or passion for commercial enterprise technologies, including cloud, big data, developer tools and languages.
- Experience marketing to IT, developer, business or start-up audiences.
- Excellent communications, writing and project management skills.
- Integrated marketing, messaging and positioning proficiency.
- A proven track record of cross-group collaboration, the ability to influence and impact results at multiple levels of the organization, and business maturity.

Partner with PR teams across Microsoft to tell compelling stories about successful technology transfers to business organizations from

Microsoft's research organization.
Partner with colleagues in China, India, UK and elsewhere around the globe to tell compelling stories about Microsoft research initiatives.
Develop new strategies for achieving breakthrough results in reaching the Technology & Research organization's key audiences.

Provide subject matter expertise and strategic counsel to the Technology & Research organization executives and researchers.
Explore new storytelling opportunities and methods that help achieve breakthrough results.
Manage and develop spokespeople
Partner with and manage external agency resources
Experiences and Skills we are seeking:
Undergraduate Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Information Technology. Master's Degree in journalism/communications a plus
A minimum of 5-7 years of PR or marketing communications experience
o Strong, demonstrated writing, project management and storytelling skills
o Extensive media management experience
o Excellent social media skills
