We are developing ground-breaking hardware, software and experiences across computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and image and video processing, networking and graphics. We will transform our ideas into reality through shipping a first-to-market product.

We are looking for a Senior Optics Process Engineer to be a part of our team.

The successful candidate will develop, characterize, and stabilize micro-optics fabrication processes used for the production of display components. Processes include traditional photo, etch, wafer replication and bond technologies as well as less common micromachining methods.

Responsibilities include:
- Transfer process and tooling from equipment vendor to high volume manufacture in Asia.
- Work with product development teams to translate new product specifications into manufacturable designs
- Develop new processes and tooling capabilities to support current and next generation product development
- Develop and improve methods to measure and evaluate micro-optics processes and features
- Define specification linkages between process, product, and test throughout the development cycle
- Apply statistical process control (SPC) methodologies to monitor and improve production processes
- Optimize fab processes for quality and yield

Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in engineering or physical sciences (ChemE, Chemistry, MatSci, Physics, EE, ME) with a research topic related to micro-optics, MEMS or microfabrication
- At least 7 years of expertise in the following areas: Clean-room experience, Si etch, thin film deposition, photolithography, DOE, Data analysis, project planning
- Demonstrated working knowledge of engineering fundamentals
- Ability to creatively solve problems in a fast-paced product development environment
- Ability to work & effectively interact (remotely, as needed) with team members from other disciplines, projects, organizations, cultures & companies
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork/interpersonal, communication and technical skills
- Resourceful, creative and flexible
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Ability to travel internationally
