Microsoft's Next Generation Devices (NDG) group is seeking a senior level New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Manager with experience realizing products into market.

The NPI team is responsible for ensuring our factories, suppliers, and other operations teams deliver revolutionary hardware products. As an NPI PM, you are the primary conduit between our product development teams and the Manufacturing & Supply Chain organization. Collaboration, strong engineering and analytical abilities, and problem resolution are critical to manage a program from prototype to mass production.

It's your responsibility to learn and refine the end-to-end process, develop tools that improve communication, provide advanced manufacturing experience and guide the team to deliver a high quality, high yielding hardware product at the right cost. You must have demonstrated strong program management skills, excellent written and oral communication, ability to handle multiple work streams, history influencing products, and ramping products into mass production at our Asia factories.

You will be expected to help solve complex technical issues, establish patterns and practices, and provide technical leadership to the entire team. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
o Providing Manufacturing input to program Business Opportunity Proposal (BOP)
o Provide Manufacturing deliverables to the overall program according to schedule
o Participating in Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and supporting supplier selection decisions
o Analyzing and verifying manufacturing capacity
o Verifying adequate Materials Management and Bills of Materials (BOM) coordination
o Planning for Pre-Production builds and program transition into Mass Production
o Integrating Design for Excellence (DFX) into the program
o Driving to ensure comprehensive Manufacturing Process/Control Plan is developed and implemented effectively
o Actively ensuring the use of Quality/Manufacturing tools such as Process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR), Design of Experiments (DOE), Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT)...
o Providing technical expertise in product manufacturing and assembly

Requirements:
o 10+ years of High Volume Consumer Electronics Manufacturing experience.
o Experience in the implementation of advanced Design for Excellence processes and techniques
o Proven ability to execute in all phases of the product development life cycle, resulting in high-quality hardware products, delivered on time.
o Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner, seeking out areas that need attention, rather than being asked to look at specific problem areas.
o Outstanding technical problem solving skills and a passion to solve hard and ambiguous problems.
o Exceptional communication skills which includes clear written and verbal communication as well as the ability to listen effectively.
o Experience with Agile, TeamCenter or similar Product Information Management systems.
o B.S./M.S degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Process Engineering.
o Advanced program management skills and Professional Program Management certification is a plus.
