We are looking for a top notch marketer to lead all lifecycle marketing programs for our highly successful Xbox Live subscription product. Xbox Live is transforming ordinary entertainment into extraordinary entertainment experiences for our vibrant online community. Millions of our members already enjoy multiplayer gaming, free games, exclusive member discounts and the many entertainment apps available on Xbox Live. As the head of Lifecycle Marketing, this person will lead efforts to develop customer-focused digital marketing campaigns that engage and deepen relationships with Xbox Live members at various stages of the customer lifecycle. This person must be able to think strategically about opportunities across the customer journey and channels to match strategies and tactics to achieve business success. This person will partner with groups such as Product Marketing, Xbox Live Business teams, Business Intelligence, outside advertising agencies and internal technology/development teams to deliver exceptional customer-facing campaigns. This person will develop global strategies and campaigns across digital and direct marketing channels and execute them in the US while guiding international regions to execute locally.

Position Responsibilities:
o Partner with Product Marketing, Xbox Live business and external agency teams to develop marketing strategies that welcome and onboard new members, engage and monetize established customers, and re-engage dormant customers. These programs will optimize for driving Xbox Live engagement and drive meaningful impact to various P&L, within budget.
o Own, develop and lead execution of lifecycle and engagement marketing programs and campaigns across all channels including console, email and targeted media.
o Create holistic, automated campaigns that drive incremental impact across all key Xbox metrics, e.g. Xbox Live engagement, Store transactions, Xbox Live Gold upgrades and renewals, entertainment app usage, multiplayer usage, etc.
o Work with cross-functional partners to devise and lead ad hoc campaigns that drive step-change behavior for various customer segments of the Xbox Live base. This includes leveraging gaming and entertainment content as well as aligning to key launches, when appropriate.
o Extend segment-level Xbox customer lifecycle marketing strategies to other Microsoft platforms, as opportunities emerge.
o Partner closely with Marketing Analytics team to develop new predictive modeling around scalable segments that activate and re-engage key pockets of the Xbox Live customer base, such as first purchase in Xbox Store, customers with high platform and/or membership churn risk, family segments, etc.
o Lead internal content publishing and programming teams and external agencies in driving creative development of assets and targeting of offers to active Xbox Live customers.
o Ensure quality campaign execution through internal and external partners.
o Work with BI Database Marketing team to establish campaign KPIs, create measureable campaigns and deliver timely campaign reporting.
o Integrate test and learn methodology to drive ongoing improved campaign results.
o Communicate results on an ongoing basis to key global partners and senior leaders.

Qualifications:
o 8-10 years of experience at a direct marketing, and/or subscription-based company, including financial services, wireless, publishing or entertainment industries
o Deep understanding of Direct Marketing, Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM), how to develop customer-focused strategies and tactics
o Proven experience driving effective and innovative relationship marketing and direct marketing campaigns across various channels, e.g. email, in-product and/or digital channels
o Clear understanding of marketing analysis, P/L, targeting, test/design and campaign metrics, including how to measure ROI, incremental performance
o Understanding of customer lifecycle - must have a clear grasp of how individual campaigns fit into previous and future customer actions and experiences
o Must be a strong analytical thinker; experience with propensity models, recommendation engines and other analytical tools preferred
o Passion for the customer is a must have - approaching problems from a consumer perspective and advocating on their behalf
o Strong self-starter who can create strategies from ambiguous situations. Must identify opportunities that move the business forward and evangelize new programs that drive impact
o Proven ability to operate successfully in a highly matrixed organization across multiple groups and business owners
o Strong interpersonal skills are a must, as is the ability to manage through conflict, influence others, and collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve results on tight timelines
o Experience launching campaigns using CRM campaign management system preferred
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o International experience is a plus
o Gaming experience is a plus, but not necessary
o BA/BS in communications, marketing or related discipline required. MBA preferred
o Passion for driving results - be prepared to work hard, but have fun while doing so
